East West School of Herbology
I am only 11 days into the "Professional Herbalist" Course and thought I should write how its going so far.
Its really exciting and I am really starting to learn how complex it is to be an herbalist and all the information you need to know to be successful. This is definitely keeping me busy for the moment. The staff and students are really great and very warm and welcoming so far. They have 3 different courses available and till March 21st 2011 the course im taking (Professional) is only 1399! (originally 1899). This is definitely worth it. The books are easy reads and the materials walk you through everything you need to know. I go to a weekly chat and there are also videos and free webinars on their website too.
There is a course for the "Family Herbalist" (if you would like to only use herbs for yourself and family members) Nice for someone who doesn't want to completely get their feet wet.
They have the Professional Herbalist course: a 36 lesson course for someone who wants a little more information or someone who wants to own an herbal business after finishing their studies.
They also have a Clinical Herbalist course (prerequisite of Professional Herbalist course) 36 lesson course mentioned above and clinical experience are required to complete this path of herbalism.
